§ 2-21. Same—Adoption of statute.

For the purpose of obtaining and in order to obtain the privileges and benefits of said state laws, the city council does hereby adopt all of the provisions of said state laws with reference to the assessment, equalization and collection of taxes hereafter due to this municipality and it does hereby declare and provide that the machinery set up and provided by said state laws for the assessment, equalization and collection of state and county taxes be and the same hereby are adopted for the assessment, equalization and collection of taxes due to this municipality for each tax year.
